a. Click on the parent of the object you want to copy ( in this case if this is a house you may click on the land object or on the floor base object - or you may create a Handle object - either way you just need an object in which everything you want copied is connected.)
b. Select Copy from the edit menu.
c. Load up the project you want to merge with.
d. Move the mouse pointer where you want to paste the object
e. Press CTRL and V to paste the object. This copied object will remain stored until another object is copied.
Option 2 For a more permanent copy. a. Click on the parent of the object you want to copy ( in this case if this is a house you may click on the land object or on the floor base object - or you may create a Handle object - either way you just need an object in which everything you want copied is connected.)
b. Select File->Save Object
c. Create a folder called TonyModels or MyObjects (or something you will recognise) in C:/Program files/ViewbuildUSA/Categories/Objects/
d. Save your object to this newly created folder.
d. Load up the project you want to merge with.
e. Click the Items icon (on the context bar at the bottom of the screen - remember Space bar if this Context bar has disappeared).
f. Select the Category (TonyModels or whatever you called the folder) from the drop down list.
g. Click the left mouse button in your scene
h. The click once on the thumbnail of the object to add it to the scene.
Warning Will Robinson. --- Be aware that ViewBuild 3.7 has a maximum number of objects you can save per project. Try the Object Only Save....once you add a lot of elements to your scene.
