Can you please upload the latest version from viewbuild.com. When you install the update make sure that you are installing it in the viewbuildusa folder, not he default folder. When you run it after the up date, it will state that the update was successful. Did you get that?

This sounds like you are running Windows Vista.  At the moment ViewBuild does not support Vista - however this fix below does help ViewBuild run under Vista.

regards

Install ViewBuild as per a standard installation process.
Once installed download and install the latest update.
Then perform the following modification (if running under Windows Vista)

  1. Delete the viewbuild shortcut off your desktop
  2. Locate the Program Files/ViewBuild Professional (or ViewBuild sketch) folder
  3. Locate the System folder in this folder.
  4. Click and hold the Right Mouse button on the VB3Core.exe Icon While holding the mouse button pressed drag the icon onto the windows desktop Let go of the mouse button and select Create Shortcuts Here
  5. Click the right mouse button on the newly created shortcut and select Properties (A window will appear)
  6. Click the Shortcut tab
  7. Click in the box next to Start In
  8. Delete \system\ - make sure you do not delete the quotation mark
  9. Click Apply
  10. Start ViewBuild
