Physical development (as opposed to the planning and head swimming) of version 4.0 platform has actually begun.  Using Python 2.6, WXWIDGETS and CAIRO libraries we have started to build the fundamental building blocks that will be the next platform.  Our first application called GREENBEANS which is a carbon emission accounting package will be bilt off this technology and give us some real-world tests to play with.
